Dennis Drager, DVM
Dr. Dennis Drager is the Medical Director of Animal Clinic - The Vet.
After graduating from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State, he spent two years in Illinois and one year in Milwaukee. In 1988 he returned to Iowa and settled in Marshalltown. His favorite part of the work day is doing surgery and seeing his clients who have become friends over the last 30 years.
Outside of work he enjoys time with his family, especially his granddaughter, Caitlin. His hobbies include golf, fishing, hiking and traveling with his wife Heidi. He also has his private pilot’s license and enjoys flying when he has the time.
Ashley Ladehoff, DVM
Associate VeterinariansDr. Ashley Ladehoff graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009, and has been an associate veterinarian at Animal Clinic – The Vet ever since.
Dr. Ladehoff has special interests in canine and feline internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, dermatology, and ophthalmology. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Iowa Veterinary Medical Association.
Outside of work Dr. Ladehoff enjoys spending time with her husband, Brian, and their two daughters, Eden and Tenley. From bike riding to rock hunting to craft assembling, her active daughters keep them very busy. Her family also includes a crazy chocolate Labrador retriever named Parker.
Lindsey Heinrichs, DVM
Associate VeterinariansDr. Lindsey Heinrichs, a native of Marshalltown, graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine of 2017. She joined Animal Clinic-The Vet after graduation.
Dr. Heinrichs is passionate about preventative medicine, dermatology, exotics and alternative medicine. She is a certified veterinary acupuncturist through Colorado State.
Outside of work, Dr. Heinrichs enjoys being outdoors hiking with her two dogs—Bailey and Cedric—and two adventure cats—Yumi and Ronin. She also enjoys gardening, kayaking with her pets and running.
